Meet Mckayla 

Hi, I’m McKayla— the heart behind DaffaDoodles. My passion for dogs began back in high school, when a close friend and her sister bred dogs — and it was through them that I got my very first dog, Maggie, a Standard Australian Shepherd. Being able to help raise one of their litters gave me my first glimpse into the incredible world of breeding and raising puppies. It also opened my eyes to the responsibility, dedication, and heart that it truly takes to do it right. After graduating, I decided to follow that passion full-time. I began working as a nursery manager, kennel assistant, and daycare dog nanny, where I gained valuable hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, breeds, and temperaments. Those years in the daycare and boarding environment taught me how dogs communicate through body language, how to pair dogs safely, and how to nurture both their physical and emotional well-being. Over time, I had the privilege of assisting with and whelping several litters, caring for newborns, and watching them grow into confident, well-socialized puppies. Those experiences became the foundation of my own journey as a breeder — one rooted in compassion, education, and respect for the dogs I raise. Today, that same spark that started with Maggie continues to grow stronger every day. I’m proud to be able to combine my knowledge, hands-on experience, and love for dogs into a lifelong commitment to raising happy, healthy, and well-rounded companions
